Please contact the Development office with any questions about Giving Day:
WHAT IS LOYOLA GIVING DAY?
Giving Day is a 24-hour digital fundraising celebration of Loyola High School that showcases our strong culture of giving. On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, Loyola brings together alumni, students, parents, friends, faculty, and staff to create meaningful impact through philanthropy. Now in its fourth year, Loyola Giving Day ensures that every gift helps strengthen the School’s future and mission while shaping the next generation of Loyola students.
WHEN IS GIVING DAY?
Giving Day starts at 12 a.m. ET on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 and ends 24 hours later at 11:59 p.m. ET. Gifts made during the 24-hour event on April 14 are eligible for Challenge Fund matching opportunities. However, this website will continue to accept Giving Day donations until Sunday, April 19, 2026.
HOW DO I DECIDE WHERE TO GIVE?
Loyola Giving Day offers the opportunity to make a gift in an area of interest that is most meaningful to you. Every gift made on April 14 has an even greater impact thanks to matching and challenge funds.
This Giving Day, you can direct your gift to the following areas of need:
- Teachers’ Excellence Fund: Support the educators who inspire and guide future leaders.
- Ignatian Formation Fund: Deepen faith, service, and leadership programs rooted in Jesuit tradition.
- Clubs and Activities Fund: Foster opportunities for the development of the whole person.
- Greatest Needs Fund: Provide flexible support to empower growth opportunities and enhance the overall educational experience for our students.
- Bursary Fund: Contribute to financial aid opportunities that open doors for individuals who may require financial support to fully participate in our educational community.
IS THERE A MINIMUM GIFT AMOUNT?
Not at all. We value participation over any specific amount. Your contribution is a vote of confidence in the Loyola experience; it ensures that our students and faculty have the resources they need to lead and succeed.
DOES MY GIFT QUALIFY FOR A CHARITABLE TAX RECEIPT?
Yes and every dollar counts! All gifts to Loyola High School totaling $25 or more are eligible for a Canadian charitable tax receipt. If you donate through the Giving Day website, you will receive an email confirmation for your gift which you should retain until the receipt is issued. This also applies to gifts sent by mail or made over the phone.
Gifts made by residents of the United States in US funds are also eligible for a US tax receipt provided the donation is made through our US donor form found here.
IF I ALREADY MADE A GIFT TO LOYOLA HIGH SCHOOL THIS YEAR, WILL IT BE COUNTED AS PART OF GIVING DAY?
Thank you for your generosity! To maximize our impact on Giving Day, we invite you to make an additional gift on April 14. Every new contribution helps us unlock Challenge Funds, we hope you will consider making a new gift on Giving Day to help Loyola reach our Giving Day goals.
WHAT ARE CHALLENGES?
On April 14 only, thanks to generous donors and Loyola associations, participation challenges will help unlock additional funds for Loyola High School. When our community comes together to complete a challenge, these Challenge Funds will unlock for our students. Parents, faculty and staff can also have their gifts amplified through challenges.
View the challenges and give now to have your gift go even further!
CAN MY GIFT COUNT FOR MORE THAN ONE CHALLENGE?
Yes. Your gift makes a greater impact on Giving Day. A single donation can count toward multiple challenges simultaneously, multiplying its impact across the school. For example, if you are a current parent and a Loyola alumnus, your gift will automatically count toward all applicable challenges at the same time; no extra steps required.
WHAT IS A MATCHING FUND?
A matching fund means your donation amount will be matched dollar-for-dollar by another donor up to the total specified amount in the challenge. For example, if you give $50, a matching gift turns it into a total of $100, making your impact go even further.
